Pier 6 is located on the marina in the Navy Yard in Charlestown, MA. It overlooks the harbor and has amazing views of the Boston skyline and the waterfront. Formerly, The Tavern on the Water, Pier 6 has a new owner and was renovated to be a more modern and upscale looking waterfront restaurant.
I’ve been wanting to go to Pier 6 since it opened in August, 2013 and was so happy when my boyfriend finally took me here! We went on the Sunday evening after the 4th of July and sat outside right on the deck. It was a gorgeous and hot summer day and a perfect spot to grab dinner or drinks while watching the sun set on the water! The reggae music in the background, the nautical theme, and the fun atmosphere made me feel like I was on vacation.
We ordered the crab dip for an appetizer to share. It’s served with tortilla chips and there was avocado underneath the crab dip. We wiped that plate clean!
We were in the mood for a light dinner. I got the Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Salad with arugula, feta cheese, and citrus mint vinaigrette. My boyfriend ordered the Fish Tacos that came with a grilled corn salsa, guacamole, and fries.
Pier 6 offers brunch, lunch & dinner. Check out their menus here. The portions aren’t huge, but the food is fresh and delicious. It’s a good spot to go on a date or with a group of friends. I would definitely go back!
